One Can Obtain Almost Anything From A Vending Machine These Days

July 22nd, 2009

Dispensing goods to consumers 24-7 is important to consumers and businesses. Vending machines offer the purchasing of goods when someone is not there to work at a register. These machines can be placed in many locations and are owned by individuals and businesses.

Vending machines can hold an array of goods. These useful machines usually offer vending of things like: gum, soda, juice, snacks, novelties, hair products, pizza, coffee, batteries, and other items. The advancement of technology has increased this list to almost anything to be vended out of a machine.

The new inventions for vending machines are amazing, and simply, mind boggling. Some of the most incredible uses of these machines are:

* Idea Vending Machine – One man, Jake Bronstein of New York, created a vending machine that vended ideas for $0.50 a pop. In essence, the person deposits the coins in the machine and an egg (like the ones that vend kid jewelery), pops out and inside there is an idea.

* Luxury Vending Machine – This type, created my Mari Balestrazzi, vend anything but kids jewelry and gum. They actually vend automobiles, clothing, expensive suits, and even luxury homes. These huge items don’t actually vend from the machine but spit out a ticket to go and pick the item up or claim ownership of the good after purchase.

* Marijuana Machine – This kind of machine vends marijuana for medicinal purposes. Installed in Los Angeles, where medical marijuana is legal, this machine includes a card reader that runs the buyer’s eligibility of medical marijuana and vends it to these patients. These vending machines are usually controlled and some of them have a biometric system to run a fingerprint scan of anyone who tries to buy marijuana from the machine.

* Anger Release Machine – This machine is stock full of smashable items for individuals looking to blow off some steam. Usually, the machines include things like dishes, bows, and ceramics. When the kitchen ware is vended, the machine drops the piece of tableware down through the slot and it tumbles down and shatters for the purchaser to see.

Convenience is key in the popularity of these machines. Most individuals buy for convenience. So, the placement is most important to creating optimum convenience. Customers appreciate the convenience of going to a machine, purchasing an item quickly, and then walking away. This is put to the test with Redbox, a newly introduced machine for DVD rentals. This vending machine provides movie rentals through touch screen vending. The person easily returns the DVD back to a Redbox machine and they do not incur any other charges on their card. If the film is not returned, the customer is charged a dollar a day until the movie is returned.

Invention after invention is being offered through the technology and innovation of vending machines. Today, vending machines are built with touch screens, debit and credit card authorizers, and other improvements that contribute to the usability of of the machine that makes them a better option than going through shops to buy something. It is most fascinating to think of what will be made available through these machines in the future.

Taking A Really Intimate Look At Wind Turbines And Determining What You Should Opt For

Many regions realize that the timing of these occurrences is quickly slipping from us; we recognise now that we are at the “we need to get it done now stage”. Sooner rather than later, the timing will quickly start to be; we had better get this done and then we wish we had gotten our energy use under control.

In most respects, the full problem can be intimidating and to a certain degree depressing. Fortuitously, there are solutions to the world’s power issues if they are simply applied and developed to their fullest and most efficient possibility. Solar power is starting to make excellent headway in technology and implementation as are other substitute energy solutions. One of these alternatives is wind turbine energy, a source of continuous clean energy that is actually making great strides in reducing coal power energy point source where it is being utilized.

What is a wind turbine? A wind turbine used for yielding electricity is not all that troublesome a thing to comprehend. It is almost exactly like the water wheels that centuries of people have used to make their flour. The only difference is that instead of using water to turn the water wheel wind is used. The wind makes the blades of the wheel turn which; with the help of some gears, magnets and resistance creates electricity which turns a motor to send the free energy along power lines. Unfortunately, at the moment the energy generated from the turbine cannot be stored in batteries so there is a need for back-up systems but, for the most part, it is a fairly efficient system.

Location, location, location This last point about not being able to store the generated power in batteries for subsequent use puts quite a bit of emphasis on where the turbines are placed. Since the electricity that is generated needs to be sent along the power lines and used right away, the turbines need to be located in a place where the wind is always blowing. One might think, well that should not be that difficult. Well yes and no. The turbine needs to be located where there is a consistent wind most of the time, but it also needs to be positioned in a place where quite a few turbines can be located. The current issue is that one turbine generates quite a bit of energy, but not enough energy to make it economically feasible. Several hundred turbines need to be in place to make this happen. There are many places around the world where this is possible, but the overall concept is regional in nature. In other words, the power made in Vegas, stays in Vegas. The energy generated in Idaho, stays there as well. This is not generally a bad thing since larger cities in places like Colorado are deriving a nice chunk of their power from the wind turbines which lessens the need to use coal power needed for other places like Los Angeles.

With a brand new focus on eco-friendly energy sources, we believe that Wind power is at the start of a huge surge. Think about wind energy for your home.
